Mechanism of action
Selective membrane perforation
Histone H1 molecules attack the membrane of tumor cells selectively. Thereby they recognise differences in membrane structure between tumor cells and their healthy counterparts. The histone molecules bind to target molecules and form superaggregates with them, causing the perforation of the membrane and the death of the cell.
